Fashion Victims skinned alive! - Stop the fur trade!

FUR TRADE  -  DEATH TRADE

Each year over 40million animals are killed for the fur trade . Most of these animals will have been bred on fur farms, spending their whole entire lives confined to tiny, filthy, cold, bare-wire cages, so small that they end up so mentally disturbed by it they pace back and forth in cages where turning around is almost impossible. These animals are never allowed to behave in a way that is natural to them.

Animals caught in the wild are often caught in steel jaw traps. The animals are in such horrendous pain as the steel bars clamp down on their legs, paws or torsos that they attempt to chew off their own limbs to escape the pain.

These traps also kill 1000s of other animals caught by mistake , including peoples pets. Animals can be there for hours, sometimes days. Once caught , these animals if they have not already starved to death or been attacked by other animals, will usually have their chests stamped on or necks broken by the trappers.

Fur farmed animals will die usually by being gassed or by anal or vaginal electrocution, be skinned alive, by bludgeoning to death, the reason being so their "pelts"- the animals skin and fur is not damaged.

Animals most commonly used :

  • mink
  • rabbit
  • beaver
  • chinchilla
  • raccoon
  • wolves
  • bears
  • cats
  • dogs
  • fox

Fur is sometimes sold as "FAUX" but due to slack regulations will sometimes be REAL fur. Other times retailers are quite open and proud they are stocking real fur despite knowing the torture behind it , but are more interested in commission not compassion.

Fur Farming was banned in the UK and phased out by 2002 , but countries such as China can produce fur garments that can be sold in the UK for less than £1.00 yes one pound.
